Craftsman Row
You gotta love a place that automatically has great food, cocktails and adult milkshakes! I recently ate dinner at Craftsman Row on a Friday evening. A fellow lifestyle & food blogger accompanied me, Jae (www.thejuicewithjae.com). I made reservations through OpenTable. The wait wasn't long, I was seated within 5mins. The first thing I noticed immediately was the hospitality. Everyone from the bartender, hostess and waitress were all so very kind and very attentive.
Before I begin most meals, I usually like to order an alcoholic beverage. I'm a tequila lover. While skimming through the drink menu, the Juan and Done caught my eye. This drink is made with honey tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice. I was extremely satisfied with my choice. It had the right amount of alcohol and it was smooth. The lime juice gave it a refreshing taste as well.
Now, the food! Jae ordered the stout-glazed wings. We really enjoyed them. I'm a fan of wings that have a good crisp when you bite into them. And these wings were on point. They were made with a beer stout which added great flavor, very good. I ordered both mussels and the French onion soup. The mussels had pancetta, it gave the broth a great taste. And the onion soup was so CHEESY!!!! Who doesn't like cheese! For my entree, I ordered the chicken biscuit. Wow, the biscuit was very fluffy and buttery. It came with honey butter on the bread. I actually took it up a notch and added a side of sriracha honey to drizzle all over my sandwich. It was amazing! It added a sweet and mild spice to my chicken biscuit.
To end my dinner, I ordered an adult milkshake. It was called Java the Nut. It consisted of espresso tequila, chocolate liqueur and espresso grinds. I was totally outdone with this drink! It made my night! It was smooth, creamy, not overly sweet and the flavor was everything I could've hoped for! I loved the espresso tequila. If you're ever in the Philly downtown area, make sure to visit Craftsmans Row. I promise that you'll have one fantastic and delicious foodie experience!
