Bodega Bar & Kitchen - A New Hot Philly addition to Midtown Village!
On Friday January 24th 2020, Philly opened it’s doors to a brand new spot in Midtown Village, Bodega Bar & Kitchen! This stylish space is owned by brothers Alex and Stavros Vasiliadis and the executive chef is Bucks County native Shain Wancio. It features a bar that holds 13 seats, as well as a dining area which holds 50 seats. The menu features delicious Latin inspired cuisine and an intriguing selection of hand crafted cocktails.
The first cocktail featured below is the Bodega Margarita. It’s made with Campo Azul Blanco, Lime, Luxardo Triple Sec and Lavender Honey Syrup. The second cocktail is the Ginger Rodriguez. This is made with Orendain Reposado Tequila, 10 Ginger Syrup, Lemon Lime Juice and Bar Spoon Mezcal. You can never go wrong with a perfectly made margarta, loved it! And the Ginger Rodriguez was smooth, sexy and satisfying!
Here’s a few dishes featured on the menu! For starters, they have Beet Soup & Salad and Crispy Brussels. The Beet Soup is made with trout roe, quinoa and hazelnut. The Brussels are made with a mimolette fondue, apple and focaccia. The beet soup was superb! If you plan to visit soon, this is a must have!
A few other items on the menu are the Pretzel Fried Pastrami Chicken made with House Pickles n’ Ferments, Lotsa Sauces and Sage Cheddar Waffle. There’s also the Tasso Corn Beignets with Powdered Bacon fat served with Red Eye Ice Cream. Lastly there’s the Pork Croquettes with Hoisin Sriracha BBQ, Spicy Mustard and Katsuobushi.
Bodega Bar & Kitchen also features “Lucky 7” Happy Hour Specials 7 days a week from 5pm-7pm. Dinner is served every night from 5pm-11pm, last seating is at 10:30pm. Brunch is also available Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am-3:00pm.
