It’s the 11th annual Food Network and Cooking Channel New York City Wine and Food Festival presented by Capital One. This festival consists of over 70 events throughout a four day span. Not only will you be having fun and eating tons of great food, but you’ll be supporting an important cause. One particular event that you don’t want to miss will be a panel lead by television personality, chef and James Beard Award winning Andrew Zimmern. Other panelists include political commentator and Nicaraguan-born American Republican strategist Ana Navarro, Ethiopian-born, Swedish-raised restaurateur and cookbook author Marcus Samuelsson, Peter Kim the executive director of The Museum of Food and Drink and International Rescue Committee’s NY/NJ executive director Avigail Ziv. This conversation will discuss the percentage of both immigrants and undocumented workers that make up the hospitality industry. How important are their roles in this industry and what will the future look like within hospitality? Save your spot and join the discussion this Friday at Pier 94!
