Dining at Azie On Main!

Nestled in the Villanova section of Montgomery county Pennsylvania is Azie On Main, located at 789 East Lancaster Avenue, Villanova PA 19085. They have been in business since 2009. The cuisine featured at this restaurant is contemporary Asian fusion. Once you walk through the door, you’ll immediately be captivated by the lovely modern decor. The bar area is pretty spacious and there’s also beautiful booths available across from the bar area, which in my opinion would make perfect seating for a romantic date night.

If you’re looking to sip on a cocktail or two while browsing the menu, I’d recommend the Sake Lychee Martini and the Plum Cosmo. The Sake Lychee martini is made with sake, raspberry vodka, lychee liqueur and garnished with lychee. It’s mildly sweet and has a lovely light fragrant taste. The plum cosmo is currently featured as a seasonal cocktail and it’s made with pearl plum vodka, lime and cranberry. Both cocktails were perfectly made and both had a perfect amount of sweetness for my liking.

For appetizers, I went with a few things. My first choice was the Kobe Beef spring rolls (made with Japanese Kobe beef and melted cheese). These are delicious! They were crisp on the outside and every savory bite just melted in my mouth. Next, I tried the California Lump Crab roll. I really enjoyed the crab, it’s definitely worth ordering again. I also ordered the Uni and Tai (red snapper) nigiri. I usually love uni, but the Tai surprisingly was even better than I expected. I thought it was quite a delectable fresh piece of sushi. Up next, I tried the crab bisque. This smooth yummy bowl of bisque was very enjoyable. The crab meat was plentiful, that’s always a plus!

By now, I was halfway full and the entrees were up next. The first entree was the Scottish Salmon Teriyaki made with a soy glaze and garlic sautéed string beans. This was such a delicious, well prepared piece of fish. The garlic string beans paired perfectly with the salmon. My second entree was the Lobster Linguini made with a half lobster shell, lobster meat, and spicy Thai green curry coconut cream sauce. This dish alone was enough to make me want to come back for more! The flavors were fantastic! I loved the hint of spiciness from the green curry and I also enjoyed the generous amount of lobster meat within this dish. I highly recommend trying this item if you love seafood and pasta!

Here’s a few more things about Azie! If you want to know which cocktails are best sellers, it’s their Mainline Manhattan, Lavender Lemon Drop and Sake Lychee Martini! If you’re wondering what dishes are top sellers, it’s their short ribs, pan seared halibut, sea bass and any Toban Yaki!
